The official demonstration flights with the Edorado 8S have begun.
On the shimmering waters of the Hollandsdiep in the Netherlands, under beautiful spring skies, our guests experienced what it truly means to fly above the water. The day began at a nearby marina, where each guest was welcomed and briefed on what to expect from the demonstration. This moment of quiet anticipation set the tone for the extraordinary experience to come.
We then walked together to the 8S, where guests were introduced to our crew: the pilot of the 8S and the captain of the follow RIB. After a smooth departure from the marina, the 8S took flight — lifting effortlessly onto its foils as we entered the open waters of the Hollandsdiep.
Seated beside the pilot, each guest received a personal walkthrough of the boat’s innovative features and user interface. Throughout the flight, the pilot explained the entire take-off sequence, when the foils engage, and how the boat behaves before, during, and after flight. This hands-on insight transformed the ride into more than just a thrill — it became a deeper understanding of the technology that makes the 8S fly.
A luminous moment during a client demonstration, with the 8S gliding above sunlit waters.
The pilot shares the inner workings of the 8S, turning a flight into an understanding.
A moment of pure freedom — the client stands tall mid-flight, sun on the face, wind in the hair, effortlessly flying above the water.
The route offered a perfect balance of elegance and adventure: gliding towards the iconic bridges in the distance, touching the edge of the Biesbosch nature reserve, and returning gracefully to the marina — all within a half-hour flight.
To close the experience, guests transferred from the 8S to the follow RIB to witness the flying boat in action and feel, once again, the contrast of conventional sailing. The rhythmic impact of the hull on the water offered a renewed appreciation for the silent smoothness of foiling.
Demonstration flights are still ongoing in the Netherlands for the coming days. Soon after, the 8S will depart for Switzerland, where a select group of potential clients will have the opportunity to experience their own private flight over pristine alpine lakes.
We are delighted with the outcome of these first flights and grateful to all who joined us. This is only the beginning.
